Herpes is very scary for us, including for me as the article creator in here. So many facts that I found that said, herpes is a skin disease that is very popular after the aids disease and really have badly for all. For some people, herpes may be as the common diseases in general, but we have to know that herpes is one of the diseases that are very dangerous and we must know about the facts.
People usually call herpes as a common skin disease, yes, just a skin disease and characterized by the bubbles on the skin and feels very itchy, but there are some facts we need to know first. There are several types of herpes that have been known, namely herpes simplex and herpes zoster, although both of herpes types have a different name, but both are derived from viruses that grow in humans.
Herpes Simplex has two types, namely herpes simplex virus 1, or commonly referred to as HSV-1, and the second is the Herpes Simplex virus 2, or commonly called by the name of HSV-2.
In fact, HSV-1 is often found in the mouth area, also visible in the upper of the body, while HSV-2 is known for Genital Herpes and this type of herpes that often attacks the human reproduction. HSV-1 is very common in adults, more than 30% of people in a country affected by this type of virus infection. Another fact is, although HSV-1 often attack humans, and can be treated, but it cannot heal completely, because at any time, the virus can have an effect back.
HSV-2 or often referred to as Genital Herpes usually more frightening, because a person infected with this virus will usually feel embarrassed and not confident, especially if she/he has a partner who can make their relationship became strained. This is another fact, genital herpes cannot be transmitted through the air, and it’s quite good info for us is not it? And the type of this herpes is only transmitted through skin contact such as sex or the like. In addition, this herpes are usually seen in the anal or groin leg (sigh). Just as HSV-1, HSV-2 cannot be cured completely, because the virus may show the symptoms such as itching in the future, so it can only be treated for a while.
Herpes Zoster, has different characteristics from HSV (1 and 2), the virus can be transmitted through the air, that’s the fact! Or its also can be transmitted by touching contaminated objects. Shingles have a shape like a larger bubble than HSV-1/2.
Herpes symptoms in general are fever, feels cold, difficulty when breathing, muscle pains, pain in the abdomen, and the red spots on the body which then turned into a bunch of bubbles on the skin, itchy, and sometimes feels smarting. These symptoms will appear approximately for just one week.
The important fact: there is no way to eliminate herpes from your body!
Yes, this is the fact that really hurt, but we do not worry, there's some way that we can do to minimize the impact of the herpes virus.
Once the symptoms of herpes was in the case, then we must take care that the bubbles on the skin is not to break, we can use a powder or other material to keep the bubbles save. We do this to make sure that there will not happen the pain or itching is excessive when the bubble is bursting, moreover, if the bubble burst on the skin, then this will require more care, so as not exposed to germs and other bacteria which can make things worse.
So the facts about herpes that you must understand are, herpes cannot be eliminated 100%, then the shingles can be spread through the air and other objects, while HSV 1 and 2 can only be transmitted through skin contact, or through any activities that contacting with people which affected by herpes.
